Let's explore together what that means
I was worn out, tired of trying to be a Christian, sad about unanswered prayer, too busy to stop and focus. Going to church was just a habit, God felt a million miles away, and the Bible seemed dry.
But God is love, and doesn't want us to live that way.
"So we have come to know and trust in the love that God has for us. God is love." 1 John 4 v 16. Read on to find out what happened.
One day, whilst at the local park with my daughter, I looked down and found a silver heart-shaped pendant. A few months later I found a silver heart earring on the school run, and a week after that found a third silver heart whilst shopping.
Could this be God trying to get my attention? It reminded me of Jesus asking Peter three times, "Do you love me?" (found in John 21). These three silver hearts started me on a journey into silver in scripture, and back to the heart of God's love.
I began to study the Bible again, looking up every verse that mentions silver or hearts. This research drew me in, igniting my love for God's word again. I also explored silver from many other angles and became fascinated by the parallels and applications that can be drawn out. There is so much depth to the Bible, and God loves us so much!
He broke into my life and drew me back to him, and showed me so many fascinating lessons in his word. Let me share them with you.
